Hewlett-Packard has added a new tool to its business technology optimization portfolio to enable CIOs to prioritize and align IT investments.
It said HP Project and Portfolio Management Center 7.5 delivers integrated IT management capabilities that include project and portfolio management, application lifecycle management, and IT service management.
HP PPM Center 7.5 includes pre-packaged integration with HP Service Management Center, bi-directional integration with HP Quality Center, and HP Universal Configuration Management Database (CMDB). It is available in both on-premise and software-as-a-service versions.
Other upgrades include automated workflows, improved team collaboration tools, demand, portfolio, and resource management, and new e-learning courses from HP Software Education Services to increase end-user adoption.
Ken Cheney, director of products of PPM at HP, said: "HP's powerful BTO portfolio enables CIOs to deliver credibility, competency, and contribution, which are key to demonstrating value to the business."
