Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/990dcb/telecom_corporatio) has announced the addition of the "Telecom Corporation New Zealand - Company Overview" company profile to their offering.

Telecom Corporation of New Zealand is New Zealand's largest telecommunications company and the incumbent operator. The company provides a full range of Internet, broadband data, voice, mobile and fixed-line calling services for customers in New Zealand, and to Australian customers thought its Australian subsidiaries AAPT and PowerTel. In May 2007 Telecom officially acquired 100% of Australian business telecommunications company PowerTel, and both AAPT and PowerTel were combined under the same operating structure, although will continue to operate under different brands. Telecom is investing $1 billion over the next 10 years building a new Next Generation Network. Telecom is expecting the first customers to be transferred to the new network by 2008. The remainder of New Zealand's 1.7 million customer lines are scheduled to be transitioned by 2012. By February 2008, the integration of Powertel with AAPT was on track for completion in Q3 2008.
