Reunion.com, a leading people search service and social networking community that helps adults reconnect and keep in touch, has earned a ranking of #78 on comScore Media Metrix's list of Top 100 U.S. Web sites for June 2008, based on a recently released report. This surpasses the total number of unique U.S. visitors for popular Web sites such as Sony Online, Netflix and Travelocity, and represents a jump of 12 positions from the May 2008 ranking. Reunion.com's total number of unique visitors was 11.94 million in the United States in June, during which period 1.6 million new registered members were also added.
Reunion.com's membership is also distinguished by its demographic composition. Approximately 65% of all visitors in the U.S. are over the age of 35, with more than 81% over 25 years of age. Compared to most other sites in the category, Reunion.com reaches an older audience with buying power, attracting major advertisers such as Starwood Hotels and Weight Watchers.
"We believe that the greatest value Reunion.com offers to members is its growing people search expertise, which is naturally attracting a large and valuable audience," said Jeff Tinsley, founder and chief executive officer of Reunion.com. "Unlike other social networking communities, consumers visit Reunion.com primarily because they are looking for everyone they've lost throughout their lives. We will continue to develop and invest in people search-related services that our members value."
