Dataram Expands HP ProLiant DL585 Server Memory to a Powerful 128GB; High-Density 4GB DIMMs Elevate Server to New Performance Heights

Dataram Corporation (NASDAQ: DRAM), a leading provider of server and workstation memory, today announced the successful installation of 128GB of Dataram memory at two sites running HP ProLiant DL585 servers equipped with AMD Opteron processors. The DL585 servers have been configured with 16 x DRH145/8GB memory upgrades (32 x 4GB DIMMs), twice the current 64GB system maximum capacity.
The first site is running Cadence Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools software at a manufacturer of semiconductors, with a dataset of approximately 115GB in size. The second, a race car designer, is running computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software with a dataset 128GB in size. Both report dramatic improvements in system and application performance after upgrading the DL585 to a powerful 128GB of main memory.
"Dataram is committed to users of memory intensive applications like EDA and CFD. Our goal is to be first to market with next generation memory modules enabling the largest and most powerful systems possible," stated Paul Henke, Dataram's Director of Product Marketing.
This is the second validation and application for the DRH145/8GB memory upgrade following its introduction into the HP ProLiant DL145 server in March 2004.
