GTT Partners With FiberLight to Strengthen Network Access Strategy

July 28, 2008

Global Telecom & Technology has entered a strategic agreement with US-based network provider FiberLight, to provide it with high-capacity metro transport in several strategic US markets.

This agreement enables Global Telecom & Technology (GTT) to offer its customers access to FiberLight’s metro ring-based network. FiberLight deploys high-capacity lit and dark fiber services in eight major US metro locations, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Tampa, South Florida, and Washington DC.

The partnership also allows FiberLight to purchase GTT’s connectivity solutions in locations outside of their current fiber footprint. GTT will offer FiberLight its full breadth of WAN solutions and services.

Michael Miller, CEO of FiberLight, said: “We are excited about our new partnership with GTT. This agreement gives us instant access to a variety of European markets and, with the expansion of our Wavelength, Sonet, and ethernet services in the metro markets, provides GTT customers with an outstanding network alternative.”
