WaveMaker Teams With StrikeIron to Simplify Web Services Mashups
WaveMaker(TM), a provider of open source tools for rapid Web application development, today announced a strategic partnership with StrikeIron to simplify the development of Web services mashups. With WaveMaker, aspiring Web developers can quickly create Ajax Web applications using live StrikeIron Web services such as Address and Email Verification, Sales and Use Tax, Census, ZIP Code Information or Major League Baseball and other sports information.
StrikeIron Web services deliver data on-demand through a Web-based infrastructure to any Internet-connected system. With WaveMaker's Visual Ajax Studio, a drag-and-drop, browser-based tool, Web developers can quickly and easily create Ajax Web applications, such as mashups that include StrikeIron services.
"WaveMaker allows developers to build applications based on StrikeIron's Web services in minutes, and without any complex coding," said Chris Keene, CEO of WaveMaker. "Non-expert developers can quickly combine interesting data from StrikeIron services and visualize them as a rich Internet application using WaveMaker."
Ajax developers who are interested in viewing the benefits of using WaveMaker Visual Ajax Studio to build and deploy mashups are encouraged to participate in a free Webinar, Mashups Made Easy with WaveMaker Visual Ajax Studio & StrikeIron Web Services, on August 13 at 11 a.m. PT. "The combination of Wavemaker's Visual Ajax Studio combined with Web services from StrikeIron will help this new generation of application development proliferate with increasing ROI."
