Cornet Technology, Inc. (CTI), a manufacturing and professional services company, formed a new division called Optim Systems to focus on providing high-quality, end-to-end audio, video and Web conferencing solutions to government and commercial customers. The new division will design, install and support a full range of online, real-time, interactive and multipoint conferencing solutions to improve the quality of remote business communications.
CTI's chief executive officer, Nat Kumar, said, "As technology advances, global communications become more and more necessary to sustain a high level of business operations. Because of the cost, time and inconvenience of traveling, Cornet Technology is using its established success in advanced communications to address the growing need to make remote business communications more efficient and secure."
CTI veteran, Venkatakrishnan "Mani" Lakshminarayanan, leads the new Optim Systems division. Mani joined CTI in 1998, most recently managing the company's four-year, multi-million dollar, APIS loan reader program for the U.S. Customs Service. Mani's previous experience includes project management and industrial relations.
Mani Lakshminarayanan, president of the Optim Systems division of CTI, said, "Cornet Technology has always made it a priority to provide the highest quality products and services to its customers and I am excited to be leading a division focused specifically on the development of advanced global business communications."
Optim Systems is now the fourth division of Cornet Technology, Inc., completing the company's reorganization that began in early 2005. The other three divisions include:
-- Cornet Technology Communications - designs, manufactures and distributes solutions that automate and optimize data networks for the federal government and private corporations.
-- Video Convergence - manufactures video products and provides comprehensive integration services to the Intelligent Transportation Systems market.
-- Anami Communications - provides information technology services to federal, state and local governments, and corporations worldwide.
