Breault Research Organization Seeks Kernel Development Engineer
Posted on: Tuesday, 17 May 2005, 18:00 CDT
Breault Research Organization (BRO) provides optical engineering solutions across many industries with a combination of software products, training courses and consulting services. Located in the heart of Optics Valley near the University of Arizona's Optical Sciences Center, BRO has been synonymous with optics since 1979.
BRO's Advanced Systems Analysis Program (ASAP) is the leading program uniting geometrical and physical optics with full 3D models of optical and mechanical systems. Over 20 years of continuous development allows ASAP to simulate the physics of more optical systems than any other program available.
Strong growth of ASAP in new and emerging applications has created demand for additional kernel development to serve increasingly diverse global markets. According to Dr. Kyle Ferrio, lead kernel development scientist, "ASAP is opening extraordinary new design paths to optical engineers, and BRO continues to invest in making more and better tools for innovation available to our customers. Today, we are announcing the search for a kernel development engineer to grow our team."
Competitive candidates will have a master's or doctoral degree in physics, optical science or optical engineering, applied physics and mathematics, or a closely aligned discipline, with a demonstrated record of successful innovation in optical software development or related research.
BRO Kernel Development Engineers:
-- Apply optical science and engineering expertise as key contributors to the computational kernel of ASAP
-- Work with world-class optical engineers and scientists to make the full capabilities of ASAP accessible to both internal and external customers, primarily through documentation, regular reporting and occasional presentations
-- Investigate and respond to technical inquiries about ASAP, from BRO Software Support, BRO Engineering Services and customers
-- Participate in developing rigorous regressions and support quality control to satisfy the expectations of scientifically sophisticated customers
-- Collaborate with software development staff to embrace and facilitate software best practices
BRO is the recipient of:
-- Copper Cactus Award (Best Place to Work)
-- Arizona's Fastest Growing Hi-Tech Companies (five consecutive years)
-- Exporter of the Year
-- U.S. Department of Commerce Export Achievement Award
BRO is an Equal Opportunity Employer. If you are interested in employment opportunities with BRO, please submit your resume:
