In partnership with SEG, NESI can now offer customers DB2 solutions that increase data availability, automate database maintenance, perform SQL management tasks and manage binds. By generating reliable catalog statistics for use during testing and SQL analysis, applications are assured of optimal performance when moved into a production environment.

Bind ImpactExpert stops unnecessary binds by determining whether a DBRM contains changed SQL, and avoids the bind step if there have been no changes, reducing CPU load. It also reduces rebinds by only performing those that improve access paths, reducing locks on the catalog.
