Anue Systems Announces New Network Tool Aggregator

August 5, 2008

Anue Systems, a leading provider of network test and monitoring infrastructure products, today announced the Anue 5200 Series, a new network tool aggregator that significantly streamlines the deployment and use of multiple network monitoring tools in data centers.

The Anue 5200 Series Tool Aggregator helps companies deploy multiple network tools by conveniently linking test and monitoring tools to any traffic on the network. This improves network visibility and maximizes return on investment for monitoring tools.

The Anue 5200 Series directly addresses a key challenge facing Fortune 2000 data centers — namely the escalating need to manage and monitor enterprise networks with an ever increasing number of tools including: application monitors, security devices, protocol analyzers, data recorders and network emulators. In most data centers, there are not enough data access ports (referred to as SPAN ports) for the numerous tools that need access to the network.

Anue’s Tool Aggregator helps companies quickly and effortlessly deploy network tools by allowing multiple tools to simultaneously share scarce SPAN ports. Additionally, the Anue 5200 can aggregate traffic from multiple SPAN ports to a single tool to increase monitoring coverage. Traffic can be filtered so each unique tool receives exactly the data it needs and is optimally load balanced.

“As demand grows for better utilization of data center assets and improved security, network teams are responding by deploying powerful new tools that constantly monitor the network and detect problems early,” said Hemi Thaker, President of Anue System. “We help maximize the value of these tools by providing them the data they need from anywhere in the data center. Our intuitive user interface makes configuring the system fast and easy.”

The new Graphical User Interface (GUI) provided by the Anue 5200 makes it possible for network administrators to visually manage and monitor network tool interconnections. The ‘drag and drop’ GUI speeds initial set up as well as day-to-day troubleshooting. “Our customers told us they needed a system that was extremely simple to use. Their network teams did not have the time to learn and use a system that uses complex command line interfaces,” said Mr. Thaker.

The Anue 5204 is the initial product in the 5200 Series. The 5204 supports up to twenty-four 1G ports and four 10G ports.

Anue Systems is the market and technology leader in network visibility solutions. The Austin, TX-based company was founded in 2002 and launched their first product — the Anue WAN Emulator — shortly thereafter. The Anue WAN Emulator is deployed by organizations to test their network dependent products and/or applications under varying real-world network conditions. The Anue 5200 Tool Aggregator extends the range and depth of network tools coverage in enterprise data center networks.
