Kyrgyzstan: Russian Rescuers to Join in Search for Missing Mountain Climbers

Bishkek, 8 August: Rescuers of the Altay Territory department of Russia's Ministry of Emergencies have joined in the search for the three Russian mountain climbers who went missing in Kyrgyzstan. So have their relatives. An ITAR-TASS correspondent was told this at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergencies today.

Now, Kyrgyz Ak-Suy and Dzhety-Oguz Districts' search and rescue detachments of the [Kyrgyz] Ministry of Emergencies are searching for them.

So far no traces of the missing sportsmen have been found. Helicopters of the Kyrgyz Defence Ministry and servicemen of the Border Service are also taking part in the search.
