Ice Cream Social Set Thursday

An ice cream social sponsored by First Congregational United Church of Christ will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Douglas Park, 400 N. MacArthur Blvd.
Cost is $3.50 for a cup of ice cream, a homemade bakery selection and a beverage.
The Springfield Municipal Band will perform at 7:30 p.m.
Proceeds benefit general mission work of the church.
