Innovasic Semiconductor(R) Announces Production of Pin Compatible 80C186EB and 80C188EB Embedded Processors

August 14, 2008

Innovasic Semiconductor, a leader in extended life semiconductor solutions, today announced production units are shipping for the IA186EB and IA188EB.

The IA186EB and IA188EB are form, fit and function compatible with the original Intel(R) 80C186EB, 80C188EB, 80L186EB and 80L188EB 16-bit high-integration embedded processors. Additionally, they have been upgraded to operate at 5.0V or 3.3V. The Innovasic version operates up to 66 MHz at 5.0V and up to 55 MHz at 3.3V.

The Innovasic processors have the same set of peripherals including the standard numeric interface, interrupt control unit, chip-select unit, DRAM refresh control unit, power management unit, three 16-bit timer/counters, and two integrated serial ports supporting both synchronous and asynchronous communications.

The IA186EB and IA188EB are available in 84-Pin PLCC, 80-Pin PQFP, and 80-Pin TQFP RoHS compliant packages.

Sample requests and production units can be ordered by contacting sales at 1-888-824-4184 or sales@innovasic.com.
