Ipswitch Launches New Network Management Software for Government Agencies

The network management division of Ipswitch, a developer of network management software, has announced a new software, Ipswitch WhatsUp Gold, which is claimed to offer government IT managers ways to gain the benefit from unused IT budgets.

Ipswitch WhatsUp Gold solution is claimed to help network administrators to discover and map network connected assets, monitor any device or sytem using SNMP and WMI and get notified of network problems.

Ennio Carboni, vice president of sales at Ipswitch network management division, said: "It's great for networking professionals in government agencies who need to add new network management capabilities, but it's also often used to replace big, complicated enterprise management platforms, sometimes for less than the cost of renewing their service agreements."
