Aztek Networks Appoints Local Telecommunications Executive to Board of Directors
BOULDER, Colo., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Aztek Networks (http://www.azteknetworks.com/), the leader in telecommunications switch consolidation, today announced the appointment of John A. Kelley to the company's board of directors. Kelley is a seasoned, local executive who brings more than 30 years of telecommunications experience to Aztek's board of directors.
Kelley served as President and CEO of McDATA Corporation. At McDATA, he re-built the management team, introduced multiple products on a global basis, acquired and integrated both private and public companies, modernized the company's business processes and systems to meet compliance requirements, and ultimately grew the company from $200 million to $630 million annual revenues during one of the most tumultuous times in the technology industry.Prior to joining McDATA, Kelley served as Executive Vice President of Networks at Qwest Communications after its acquisition of US West Communications. Before the acquisition, he served as President of Wholesale and Interconnect Markets for US West. In addition, Kelley also served as Vice President and General Manager of Large Business and Government accounts and simultaneously held the position of President of Federal Services for US West.
Kelley's professional activities also have included being a member of the Board of Directors of Polycom Corporation since 2000 as well as privately held 3Leaf Systems since 2007. He serves as a senior advisor to several privately held technology companies. He has served on the Board of Directors of Captaris Corporation, a publicly held company in Redmond, Washington.
