TCS Wins $8.3 Million Professional Services Contract From DoD
TeleCommunication Systems, a provider of wireless communications technology, has won a $8.3 million contract to provide a Department of Defense Command with communications professional services. The delivery of these professional services will be over the four quarters ending in July 2009.
Under the contract, TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) will provide IT support/command, control, communications and computer information management (C4IM), visual information and video teleconferencing professional services, through 55 personnel including desktop support engineers, systems engineers, VTC facilitators, computer intelligence specialists and graphic artists.
Michael Bristol, senior vice president of government solutions group at TCS, said: "TCS has a strong past-performance record in delivering professional services to the Federal government and this is yet another example of a major Department of Defense (DoD) Command putting their confidence in our capabilities. The Federal government continues to purchase and implement advanced communications technologies, and we are proud to deliver the professional services required for a successful ongoing support and maintenance program."
