VideoThang Selects Pixsy for Cutting Edge Video and Image Search Functionality

Posted on: Tuesday, 19 August 2008, 09:00 CDT

NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- VideoThang(TM), the free, multi-media content generator, and Pixsy Corp., the leading B2B provider of private label Video and Image Search, announced today the launch of a unique partnership which allows VideoThang users to search for videos and images directly from VideoThang on their desktop.

"Our partnership with Pixsy gives the growing VideoThang user community more ways to enjoy video," said Kathy Sharpe, CEO and Founder of VideoThang LLC. "The channel is a unique and customizable venue to deliver additional functionality, measurable advertising and brand-building community content directly to a user's desktop."

The new Pixsy search tool can be accessed directly from VideoThang's dynamic, revolutionary channel, delivering interactivity and functionality directly to the desktop while a user is in the process of creating and editing video content. Pixsy multimedia search is available as an expandable application in the VideoThang channel, which appears on the right side of the VideoThang platform. Upon expansion, the tool displays the Pixsy search box and includes drop-down filters so users can specifically choose videos and/or images, category and/or source within their results. Thumbnails of the resultant videos and/or images are delivered directly to the VideoThang Channel where the user can then choose to view them or link to the source to display them.

"This partnership shows Pixsy's versatility as consumers can now search Pixsy's vast index of image and videos while creating and editing videos in VideoThang," said Chase Norlin, CEO of Pixsy Corp. "The ongoing release of new, additional functionality underscores the potential of this partnership."

Both Kathy Sharpe and Chase Norlin spoke at Digital Hollywood's Building Blocks conference in San Jose on Thursday, August 7, 2008 and are available for interviews and to demo the new Pixsy search functionality within VideoThang.
