Intertrust Enters into Patent Licensing Agreement With Nokia
Intertrust Technologies has entered into a patent licensing agreement with Nokia, to provide Nokia with worldwide access to Intertrust’s portfolio of inventions in the areas of digital rights management and trusted computing.
Licensed technologies covered under the agreement include those relating to the Open Mobile Alliance, Marlin digital rights management (DRM) specifications, and various distributed mobile computing standards.
Matti Kauppi, vice president of intellectual property rights at Nokia, said: “This license provides Nokia with the design freedom to deliver many advanced features in mobile computing. We have previously worked with Intertrust and are pleased that our thinking regarding the development of DRM technology has once again come closer together.”
