RTO Software Launches Unique Application Performance Management Tool

RTO PinPoint monitors business applications to give business and IT managers access to real-time information

RTO Software, provider of monitoring services for Microsoft(R) .NET and Microsoft Windows Server(TM) applications, announced today the release of its latest application performance monitoring solution, RTO PinPoint(TM). RTO PinPoint monitors business applications to give both business and IT managers access to the real-time information they need to identify problems and take corrective action quickly.

"Current users of systems monitoring tools are not getting the application-level data they need to successfully monitor and operate their business," said Kevin Goodman, President and CEO for RTO. "Line of business managers need timely and detailed information about the performance of their applications before problems escalate and failures directly impact business operations or sales."

RTO PinPoint agents gather performance information like throughput, resource utilization, transaction times and database queue lengths then communicate the results to the RTO Analysis Engine. When performance falls below desired thresholds, Root Cause Analysis reports are generated and sent to the management console where they can be easily viewed by both business and IT managers. RTO PinPoint can function in a standalone mode, or as a Microsoft Operations Manager(R) (MOM) Management Pack. As a result, PinPoint reports can also be accessed via the MOM management console.
