Feast and festival: St. Bartholomew Church will hold its annual feast and festival tonight and tomorrow from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 9:30 p.m. on the church grounds, 297 Laurel Hill Ave.

The event will feature homemade multi-ethnic foods, children’s games and rides, raffles, live entertainment by the Gemini Band and a DJ nightly.

A solemn tri-lingual mass will be held on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. A religious procession with the statue of St. Bartholomew will follow.

Church tag sale: The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 99 Camp St., will hold a red-tag sale on Saturday, Aug. 30, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Furniture, household items, books, clothes and knickknacks will be for sale as well as hot dogs, hamburgers and refreshments.

The event will be held in the school building, which is next to the church and rectory. For information, call (401) 272-4515.

Chapel Gallery: “Dry Season — 21 Days Across Namibia and Botswana,” a photographic exhibit by Jake Hegnauer, is on display through Aug. 29 in the Mathewson Street United Methodist Church Chapel Gallery, 134 Mathewson St.

Tonight is Gallery Night. From 5 to 9 p.m., Hegnauer will talk about his work. Organ concerts are scheduled for 7 and 7:45 p.m., and the fourth-floor meditative labyrinth will be open.

Gallery hours are Sunday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and by appointment.

40 Days for Life campaign: Pro-life advocates in Rhode Island are launching a groundbreaking 40 Days for Life campaign from Sept. 24 to Nov. 2. According to Mike Krzywonos, spokesperson for the local campaign, Rhode Island area pro-life advocates will join together with people of faith and conscience from many other communities from coast to coast to kick off the area’s own version of the campaign.

It will focus on 40 days of prayer and fasting, 40 days of peaceful vigils at and 40 days of educational outreach.

Local organizers are seeking volunteers and advocates to assist in the Rhode Island campaign.

Prayer Ministry Team: Allen African Methodist Episcopal Church, 163 Bellevue Ave., holds a prayer ministry on the first and third Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m.
