Painting a Better Teen Image
Swansea schoolchildren have given up a week of their summer holidays to help others.
Pupils who attend churches across the city joined older Christians as part of a national initiative called Hope 08.
Projects ranged from painting the railings of Dunvant school, the outside of a classroom at Olchfa school, the main hall of Brynymor school and a utility room at St Helens Rugby Ground, as well as cleaning up woods and lanes of rubbish and litter.
The whole week attracted an army of more than 100 volunteers of all ages. Phil Davies of Dunvant Christian Fellowship said: "We were thrilled with the response of the volunteers and also for the opportunity to show our community the love of God not only in what we say but what we do."
