Searchandise Commerce Appoints Acclaimed Media Expert Sarah Fay to Its Board of Directors
Searchandise Commerce, the first eCommerce ad network for product manufacturers, today announced the addition of Sarah Fay to its board of directors. Fay, CEO of Aegis Media North America, is one of the few interactive agency pioneers to reach the upper echelon of traditional agency networks. She joins representatives from DFJ Gotham Partners, Wheatley Partners and Cloquet Capital Partners LLC on the board.
Joining Aegis Media in 1998 as managing director of Carat Business and Technology, she led the 2001 launch of Carat Interactive, later Carat Fusion, which grew to become one of the top U.S. full service digital marketing agencies. In 2003, Fay was appointed CEO of Isobar U.S., the largest single market in Aegis Media's full-service digital network. There she delivered significant organic growth, seven U.S. acquisitions and helped to build Isobar into the world's number one digital agency network. In addition to her leadership of Isobar U.S., Fay was appointed CEO of Carat USA following the merger of Carat USA and Carat Fusion, which created one of the world's first and largest integrated on and offline agencies.
"Managing product placement in search results and product listings is critical to every brand looking to break through the clutter and optimize sales," said Fay. "Searchandise Commerce provides manufacturers and brand marketers with an innovative alternative for capturing market share. I believe this model represents a new approach that defines the next generation of paid search, and I am excited to help the Searchandise team in shaping their offering and the industry."
Fay is highly acclaimed in the industry and has received a wealth of advertising awards including, ad:tech's 2007 'Industry Achievement Award,' Advertising Age's '25 Women to Watch,' MediaPost's 'Top 100 Media Influentials' and OMMA's 'Top 50 To Know in Online.' She was also one of B2B Magazine's Top 100 Business Marketing Influencers in 2002, 2003 and 2004 and recently was named a 'Future Legend' by the Ad Club.
"Sarah is an exceptional media professional and her understanding of how brands leverage paid search as part of their overall strategy will be invaluable as we further expand our eCommerce ad network," said John Federman, president and CEO, Searchandise Commerce.
