University of Memphis Selects XO Communications’s Gigabit Ethernet Services
XO Communications has announced that the University of Memphis is using its gigabit ethernet services for expanded internet connectivity for students and faculty.
As the primary provider of high-speed internet services for the University of Memphis, XO Communications delivers high-speed internet connectivity directly to the university campus through its 500-route mile metro fiber network across Memphis area.
According to the company, its solution provides high-speed internet access over ethernet, delivering scalable and redundant network connectivity for the university with data transfer rates up to one gigabit per second.
Brian Law, sales vice president for the central region at XO Communications, said: “We’re pleased to be working closely with the University of Memphis. The increased connectivity from our ethernet solution will give students, faculty and administration the increased bandwidth to support the growing collaboration in research and teaching online.”
