Juniper Networks Named ‘Company of the Year’ and Wins Top Honors for Channel Leadership and Partnership By VARBusiness Magazine

August 29, 2008

Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced it was named “Company of the Year” in the Network Security Appliances category at the 2008 VARBusiness Annual Report Card (ARC) awards gala, taking first place in both channel support and partnership. The ARC award marks the second year in a row Juniper Networks has secured top honors in the Network Security Appliances category.

Furthermore, Juniper Networks received an ARC award for overall Channel Partnership in both the Network Security Appliances and Enterprise Networking Infrastructure categories. As such, the company was measured by key partner criteria and recognized for its leadership in the areas of: revenue and profit potential, return on investment, ease of doing business, training, solution provider program, communication, partner portal and channel conflict management.

“Being named ‘Company of the Year’ two years in a row is an honor and solid testimony to the success of our growing J-Partner community,” said Frank Vitagliano, senior vice president, worldwide channels, Juniper Networks. “What is equally telling are the wins Juniper continues to receive in high-priority categories such as Channel Partnership and Support. In addition to delivering best-in-class products and services, Juniper is highly focused on providing superior partner experience at all levels. It’s this powerful combination that really sets us apart from our competitors and gives our J-Partners a competitive edge.”

The annual VARBusiness ARC awards recognize outstanding partner programs and superb vendor service in 18 major product and service categories, including: enterprise network infrastructure, mobile computers, mainstream business servers, voice networking hardware, data and information management software, and network security appliances. Category winners are selected based on the survey results of more than 5,000 systems integrators, IT consulting organizations, value-added resellers, solution providers and software developers.
