The public is invited to participate in a cross-raising on Sept. 11 at Circle C Ranch north of Bismarck.
Trish Lenihan, owner of Circle C Ranch, said that the cross- raising will start at 7 p.m. Those wishing to help raise the cross, which will be done by hand via ropes, should bring gloves, she said. The evening will have a patriotic dimension, she said. Lenihan and Lloyd and Linda Hohn will also provide music; Lenihan will talk about Circle C Ministries, whose cross and logo symbolize "where Christ is the center of all things," she said.
Those attending may tour the facilities at Circle C, which has provided Christian ministry activities for many years; attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, she said.
The 16-foot logs used to construct the cross were donated by Logging Camp Ranch, she said.
