Posted on: Thursday, 9 June 2005, 09:00 CDT

NEW YORK, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Fine Point Networks, a division of Fine Point Technologies, Inc., and a leader in broadband network connectivity, today announced an initiative to accelerate the launch of Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA) solutions that will allow Service Providers to speed the deployment of broadband services. Fine Point Networks will make available its ServPoET Broadband Management Server family of products on Motorola's ATCA-based Open Application-Enabling Platforms . Using Motorola's pre-integrated and validated platforms will allow Fine Point to accelerate the time-to-market of ATCA-based Broadband Management Server products.

"We are pleased that Fine Point Networks has chosen Motorola's AdvancedTCA-based platforms for their ATCA initiative," stated John Fryer, director of marketing, Embedded Communications Computing, Motorola, "ServPoET an excellent example of how Motorola's communications servers can be used to speed time-to-market, lower costs, and reduce the risk in introducing new technology to the telecommunications industry."

John O'Keefe, CEO of Fine Point, commented, "The growing role of ATCA requires a strong communications server that can be used as a common platform for a range of products. Motorola, an industry leader in ATCA-based systems, provides an application-ready platform for us to deploy our ServPoET family of products."

Fine Point Networks plans to develop and optimize ServPoET on all current and future Motorola AdvancedTCA(R)-based Centellis 3000 series products announced in 2005.
