South River Technologies Extends Power of Enterprise-Class File Transfer Solutions With Secure Web Interface

September 10, 2008

South River Technologies, Inc., (SRT) an innovator in secure file transfer and collaboration software, today released web-based software that allows customers of its Titan Managed File Transfer (MFT) Server product to offer secure file transfer capabilities to more customers, partners and employees. Titan MFT, which is widely used by enterprises, government agencies and academic institutions to securely manage the movement of sensitive files across public and private networks, can now be accessed via a web interface. No downloads or plug-ins are required–all the security and management features available to end users through Titan MFT Server are now available through a web browser.

SRT designed Titan MFT Server for use by organizations that require a highly scalable, secure and fault-tolerant file transfer solution. The product, released in the fall of 2007, supports clustering, centralized management, high-volume environments and user authentication through companies’ existing directory services.

SRT’s new Titan web interface allows customers using Titan MFT to extend the product’s capabilities to more end users, without the inconvenience or expense of installing client software. The web product streamlines secure exchange with external partners and reduces the cost of supporting multiple file transfer clients within a single organization. The interface uses HTTPS to encrypt files during transfer and is compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac clients.

“SRT has long been focused on meeting the needs of the largest businesses, agencies and institutions, so making it even easier for users, regardless of their location, to benefit from the power and security of our managed file transfer solution is a natural step,” said Michael Ryan, CEO of South River Technologies. “The web interface makes it easier for customers to gain control over the way sensitive documents and files are transferred, and to do so in a manner that supports the way end users like to work.”

The web interface for Titan MFT Server is available immediately from SRT or any of its 260 distributors worldwide. Pricing begins at $1499.95. Additional information about SRT products, including the web interface, is available at http://www.southrivertech.com/products/index.html.
