Full Facelift for Facebook Site
SOCIAL networking website Facebook will begin forcing its 100 million users to adapt to its redesign when its old format is removed permanently by the end of the week.
The popular online hangout unveiled a makeover seven weeks ago, but has left it up to users to decide whether they want to switch over to the new look.
Founder Mark Zuckerberg hoped a transitional approach would prevent an uproar against the changes to the site.
Mr Zuckerberg has previously issued public apologies after introducing 'news feeds' to Facebook that broadcast certain personal details, and a tracking device that shares information about users' shopping habits.
The shift may alienate some of Facebook's audience, potentially driving more traffic to rival social networks like MySpace and Bebo.
