Aspera and Rising Sun Research Announce Technology Partnership
Aspera, creators of next-generation software technologies that move the world's digital assets at maximum speed regardless of file size, transfer distance or network conditions, and Rising Sun Research (RSR), creators of visual collaboration tool cineSync, today announced a technology partnership to provide VFX, animation, film production, network television and DI facilities with enhanced media review and approval solutions.
Widely used throughout the media industry, Aspera software delivers the fastest and most predictable file transfer experience with complete security and control over network bandwidth - allowing digital content to be moved more efficiently than ever before, even at global distances.
cineSync is a remote review and approval tool based on Apple(R) QuickTime(R) technology. By synchronizing the timeline and playback of movies, users can quickly and efficiently view their work with anyone, anywhere in the world at the same time. Expanding on cineSync, cineSync Pro takes interactive, real-time reviews to another level and is quickly becoming an essential part of production and post-production pipelines around the world.
The first manifestation of the technology partnership will be included in the next release of cineSync Pro, which will integrate Aspera transfer capabilities as a superior transport option to move the media to be reviewed between users.
"Aspera has created a new standard for moving digital media over wide area networks," said Rory McGregor, cineSync Product Manager. "By integrating Aspera technology to cineSync Pro, we are providing our customers with an even more efficient workflow for global media review and approval."
"Our media production and post-production customers keep raving about cineSync and the way it dramatically improves their review and approval process," said Cary Capece, senior vice president of sales and business development at Aspera. "With the integration of Aspera's innovative transport technologies to cineSync Pro, Aspera and RSR are paving the way for the ultimate media review and approval system - enabling maximum media transfer speed and real-time visual collaboration at global distances."
