LeCroy Enters New Oscilloscope Market Segment With Launch of WaveAce(TM) Series
LeCroy Corporation (NASDAQ: LCRY), a leading supplier of oscilloscopes and serial data test solutions, today announced the launch of its WaveAce(TM) series of digital oscilloscopes. The introduction of the WaveAce series marks LeCroy’s first entry into the sub-100 MHz product space, a significant segment of the world oscilloscope market.
“The introduction of the WaveAce provides LeCroy with its first opportunity to participate in the sizable market for very low-cost oscilloscopes,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Reslewic. “During the past two years, we have developed effective third-party distribution channels to sell our two lowest bandwidth product families, the WaveSurfer and WaveJet. We now are significantly expanding LeCroy’s product line for our distribution network by adding another product family below the WaveJet. While competitively priced, the WaveAce is a performance leader in this class of portable oscilloscopes with features that include memory two-to-three times that of competitive scopes, increased measurement capabilities, large internal storage and ease of viewing with a high-resolution color screen.”
The WaveAce is available in six models with two channels at bandwidths of 60 MHz, 100 MHz, 200 MHz and 300 MHz. All models have color displays. WaveAce officially launches today and is available for sale in 57 countries, with user interface translations in 10 languages.
