Netronome to Present at Linley Tech Seminar on Data Center Networking

September 16, 2008

Netronome Systems, Inc., a leading developer of highly programmable semiconductors and acceleration cards that provide intelligent flow processing for network and communications devices, today announced that Mike Benson, an industry expert with more than 20 years of experience in the design and architecture of networking products, will present at the Linley Tech Seminar on Data Center Networking taking place September 16, 2008 at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose, California. Linley Tech Seminars consist of technical sessions focused on a single aspect of advanced technology for designers of security-focused network and communications products. This seminar will focus on the technologies driving the future of enterprise and data center networking.

Mr. Benson’s presentation, Virtualization and On-chip Networks – Scalable Solutions for Data Center Servers and Network Appliances, will discuss how configurable, silicon-based, on-chip networks are necessary in order to meet the requirements for today’s high-performance servers and network security appliances. The discussion will also describe the architecture of silicon-based, on-chip networks and typical application scenarios that meet the use cases requirements for high-performance network security appliances.

“On-chip networks deliver a new architecture for scalable, high-bandwidth, programmable L2-L7 solution for carrier-grade and enterprise-class networking products, virtualized network servers and appliances,” said Mike Benson, senior vice president of platform engineering at Netronome Systems. “I look forward to discussing how development engineers can use the flexibility that is provided with on-chip networks in their product designs that require network flow processing.”
