Samsung Telecommunications America Names Vice President and General Manager of Business Communication Systems Division

Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) today announced the appointment of Doug Wonson as Vice President and General Manager of its Business Communication Systems (BCS) division. Wonson will report directly to Samsung President Dale Sohn and have responsibility for the BCS sales division, as well as BCS product advertising, public relations, branding, channel marketing and business development activities.
"Doug is a proven leader in the delivery of converged business communications solutions to small and medium organizations and we are pleased to have him lead our BCS division," said Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Telecommunications America. Wonson joins Samsung from Nortel Networks where he held the position of strategic account developer for channel business. While at Nortel, Wonson was responsible for business development and strategic partner relations for two tier distribution, which included designing a new aligned channel program. Prior to Nortel, Wonson served as a director at Verizon where he oversaw the Global Outsourcing Project for General Motors for Verizon Business.
Wonson's extensive telecommunications experience also includes 19 years at NEC America where he served as vice president and general manager of NEC America's business systems and sales division.
