Juniper Networks’ Access Control Solution Named ‘Most Complete’ By Leading Analyst Firm
Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced it is cited as a 'Leader' in Forrester's September 2008 report, The Forrester Wave: Network Access Control, Q3 2008. The report evaluates ten vendors based on 73 criteria that measures product offerings, strategy and market presence, with Juniper scoring highest for overall Current Offering.
According to the report, Juniper Networks Unified Access Control (UAC) is "the most complete NAC solution...with an impressive array of enforcement options and deployment modes." In particular, Juniper had the highest combined score for access and enforcement architectures, later described as "linchpin criteria for NAC." Juniper UAC supports multiple agent technologies to provide endpoint security and remediation, and offers the strongest 802.1X solution. Furthermore, Juniper's UAC delivers strong integration with back-end policy servers, a mature management interface for very granular authorization capabilities, and a broad set of role- and identity-based features. As a leader, Juniper also "excels at providing extensive policy architectures, which security managers need to create granular access controls."
