HP Wins $660m BT Contract Extension

September 17, 2008

HP has won a seven-and-a-half-year $660m contract extension from BT to continue to provide, deploy, and support BT’s servers and storage, as well as offer service desk and end-user services to more than 100,000 BT users in the UK.

Francesco Serafini, senior vice president and managing director EMEA at HP, said: “HP will support the management and transformation of the BT technology environment into an increasingly agile, cost-effective infrastructure designed to deliver what their business requires.”

The contract is part of the BT HP Alliance that has created more than $5.3 billion revenue for both companies since 2004. In April, the alliance won a five-year infrastructure outsourcing contract from pharmaceutical company Nycomed. Last year, it won a five-year NOK335m ($57m) ICT outsourcing contract from oil services company Aibel Group.
