Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union Connects to SVPCO Payments Network

September 17, 2008

The Small Value Payments Company, the paper and electronic check exchange business of The Clearing House Payments Company, has announced that the Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union is now connected to the SVPCO Image Payments Network.

The Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union is connecting to the network through the Small Value Payments Company (SVPCO) Gateway DTA, which enables institutions to send and receive bulk files of images on a peer-to-peer basis through the network.

The Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union uses SVPCO’s file transfer protocol option, an internet-based connection that makes it easy for institutions to link to the SVPCO Image Payments Network and exchange check images.

SVPCO said that the Image Payments Network offers financial institutions a variety of connectivity options.

Brad Ganey, director of item processing services of the Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union, said: “Connecting to the SVPCO Image Payments Network is a terrific opportunity for Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union to reduce the cost of processing paper checks. SVPCO’s image exchange network will help improve the efficiency of check processing with the more than 1,500 credit unions who work with us.”
