South American Mobile Operator Selects Radcom's Solution to Monitor Network

Posted on: Wednesday, 17 September 2008, 12:00 CDT

A South American mobile service provider has selected Radcom's Omni-Q service assurance solution to monitor its network.

Radcom is an Israel-based provider of network test and service monitoring solutions for communications service providers and equipment vendors.

The selection of the Omni-Q solution for the operator's wireless network follows its earlier deployment of Radcom's wireline monitoring solution for their SS7 and VoIP networks.

According to Radcom, its Omni-Q system will provide a unified platform to correlate monitoring and display a network-wide view of the operator's converged mobile and fixed GSM, GPRS and UMTS domains.

David Ripstein, president and CEO of Radcom, said: "We are very pleased that our focus on customer satisfaction has led to this significant sale in South America for the customer's new UMTS domain, as well as replacing the install base from the GSM and GPRS domains."
