TOKYO, June 14 /PRNewswire/ — Two Space Co., Ltd announced today that it has developed Office XML Office Storage Hub 1.02*, a new version of software that enables users to link Microsoft Office business data on networks in XML format. The product is going to be released in the US on June 15, 2005.
Office XML Office Storage Hub 1.02 allows users to link data from any Office application and retrieve selected data for use. Today, it has become important for companies to be able to aggregate data from dispersed systems across multiple divisions and branch offices, and efficiently manage the data at a single point to create valuable information for all business purposes.
Office Storage Hub automatically caches and stores selected items of data from Microsoft Office documents created in multiple locations in a closest hub in XML format. The cached data in the hub is synchronized with other hubs in different locations. Authorized users can automatically generate aggregated files (in Word, Excel, Access or SQL Server) on their own PCs simply by creating templates for selected data items, which can then be changed as needed.
Office Storage Hub can help streamline business flow without the need for building more systems. The software retrieves only the minimum amount of data required, greatly reducing data volume over networks and delivering a peer-to-peer data access across dispersed systems, allowing you to aggregate data on networks without building integrated systems or databases.
Office Storage Hub provides an environment that enables users to quickly aggregate and change data without difficulty. Unlike traditional systems, it does not require rebuilding any special systems to link the dispersed data, large databases or servers. On the contrary, it will help reduce costs that would normally be incurred for those systems.
The newly released Office Storage Hub 1.02 supports InfoPath, which will be increasingly employed as an application for rich and dynamic creation of data forms.
In addition, with new authentication features, Office Storage Hub delivers more security to help users exchange data safely over WAN/VPN and the Internet.
The software consists of Office Storage Hub for the hub server and Office Storage Hub Client, which works together with Microsoft Office. The price is the same as previous versions, set at 3.3 million yen, or approximately 30,000 USD (1 hub server CPU supports approximately 50 clients.)
