6WIND (www.6wind.com), leader in advanced dual-IP networking software, launched today, its strategy as The O.N.E. (Open Network Engine) Partner for net-centric defense communication systems. Reinstating the company's roots that began more than 15 years ago with Dassault Electronique and Thales, two of defense and aerospace industry's world class players, 6WIND is claiming a unique position in this segment with a strategy and software to match, geared for achieving NCW (Net-Centric Warfare) goals required by defense and security organizations.
"6WIND's software suites already provide telecommunication equipment makers with the industry's first comprehensive IP solution for optimizing development, integration and test processes, often speeding up time to market by half for a new product. Equipment embedding 6WIND's software are deployed in several significant interoperable networks involving DGA (French Procurement Agency for Defense), NATO agencies, Thales and the European Space Agency. With the backing of world class investors and shareholders such as Sofinnova Partners, CDC Enterprises Innovation, TechFund, ACE Management and Thales, we are extending our software value-add to enable better integration within a complex environment of multi-security parameter networking and highly-constrained mission-critical applications," said Alain Daste, Chief Executive Officer of 6WIND.
"Our latest software release strengthens 6WIND's unique capacity and flexibility to facilitate seamless interoperability with non-Internet and proprietary systems in military networks. This latest initiative builds on our capability-centric focus in mastering advanced networking technologies to provide cutting edge COTS software to empower advanced net-centric communications - what we term as The Open Network Engine. Faster availability and delivery, optimized investment as well as solution maturity and upward scalability are key criteria for the dynamic transformation into a NCW enterprise and as The O.N.E. Partner for defense communications, we make them our customer mission," added Alain Daste.
