Arcadian Networks, a US-based provider of wireless carrier services to the energy sector, has selected CalAmp's mobile data equipment, for its private licensed wireless communications network.

CalAmp is an American provider of wireless products, services and solutions. With the agreement, Arcadian Networks will market, sell, and distribute CalAmp's open-architecture IP-based mobile data network equipment as part of an end-to-end wireless communications solution.

According to CalAmp, the equipment will be customized for Arcadian Networks' private licensed 700MHz network spectrum. Applications include mobile workforce management, asset management, outage management, billing and customer care, among others.

Jake Rasweiler, vice president of engineering and network operations at Arcadian Networks, said: "Arcadian Networks provides a robust wireless broadband platform, which combines the privacy and security of our licensed 700MHz spectrum with state-of-the-art voice and data networking equipment. We look to provide our customers with best-in-class solutions on the nation's only mission-critical network devoted to utilities and oil and gas companies."
