US-based restaurant franchise company Thomas & King has awarded Contingent Network Services a contract to deploy its EverWorX managed wide area network service to consolidate, speed and simplify store management systems for its 97 Applebee's and other restaurants across the country. The contract has an estimated value of $1 million.
According to Contingent Network, a virtual private broadband network will link all 97 Thomas & King locations by the end of 2008. Thomas & King initiated the deployment to enable faster credit card processing, remote network monitoring, energy management and high-speed internet access across all its locations.
Cynthia Clark, information technology director at Thomas & King, said: "Contingent proved to be flexible in their approach, allowing Thomas & King the ideal design and deployment strategy needed for our wide area network needs."
