Cablevision Speeds Up Internet Access

September 19, 2008

By Angela Smith

Starting as early as Sunday, you may notice your photos, music and games downloading a whole lot faster than normal. St. Joseph Cablevision announced their cheetah internet speeds will officially increase to eight megabytes, up from three megabytes, on June 1st. Even better news for you is that it will not cost any extra.

The new speeds will allow a four minute song to download in an estimated five seconds or 24 photos to upload in 19 seconds. Cablevision’s General Manager, Brian Bradley, said the increase is in response to customer survey results that show the most important attribute of internet is its speed. The new technology puts St. Joseph in competition with some major U.S. cities.

If you would like more information on internet packages you can contact Cablevision 24 hours a day at 279-1234.
