BBN Technologies, an advanced technology solutions firm, announced today that Jeffrey Feinberg has joined the company as Vice President, Advanced Networking Systems. Feinberg will lead a team of 70 scientists and engineers who implement BBN's leading edge research to develop networking systems for challenging environments and critical missions. The BBN unit Feinberg now leads is best known for expertise in wireless, ad hoc networks; satellite technology and security; and low power networks.
Feinberg brings nearly 20 years of experience in network technology management, including previous roles at BBN Technologies. Prior to joining Federal Network Systems, Feinberg held Vice President level positions at Allegiance Telecom and Genuity, Inc. In both of these positions he was responsible for rolling out high capacity and remote access services and the associated financial results. Earlier in his career, Feinberg successfully managed large communications programs for BBN's government customers.
Tad Elmer, president and CEO, BBN Technologies, said, "Jeff is a seasoned executive with the right expertise, track record, and hands-on experience to lead this group of exceptional networking scientists and engineers."
Feinberg said "I have always admired the technical knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit at BBN, so I am excited about working with both my former colleagues and the new talent that is drawn to this organization. With all the resources here, this is an opportunity to do great things."
