Kevin O’Connor, Security Industry Veteran, Joins Damballa, Inc. As Vice President of Sales

Damballa, Inc. (www.damballa.com), the only Internet security company focused exclusively on targeted threats such as BotArmies, announced today that Kevin O’Connor has joined the company as Vice President of Sales.

Kevin brings to Damballa over 20 years of sales and marketing experience at leading software and technology companies. He most recently ran worldwide sales efforts at Nevis Networks, establishing the company as an emerging market leader and opening new channels. Prior to Nevis, he was Worldwide Sales Vice President at Reflex Security, whose sales growth under his direction led to a $12 million investment from a leading venture capital firm in New York. Prior to Reflex, Kevin served five years as the Area Sales Vice President for Internet Security Systems (ISS) (acquired by IBM in 2006), where he was responsible for the Eastern United States and Canada. While at ISS, Kevin’s teams produced market-defining global agreements with Fortune 100 firms that established ISS as a major force in network security.

Prior to joining ISS, Kevin held the position of Vice President East Area Sales at Avaya Communication (formerly Lucent Technologies). Kevin has held a variety of other sales management positions, serving as the Regional Manager for 3Com’s Northeast Named Account Region and 11 years at Sprint Corporation heading up the Northeast National Accounts Division. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Administrative Science from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT.
