Miles Technologies Buys Clifton Building to Expand
By HUGH R. MORLEY, STAFF WRITER
Miles Technologies, a Moorestown-based technology consultant, has purchased a building in Clifton to help the company expand its North Jersey business.
The company bought a 6,600-square-foot building at 412 Main Ave. for $510,000, company officials said. The office will eventually house 25 employees, including information technology consultants and account executives.
Miles Technologies, which has 120 employees, supplies technology for small to midsize businesses from offices in northern Virginia; Washington, D.C.; Baltimore; and Philadelphia. Company services include building computer systems, designing and installing software, marketing and Web site design.
The company first moved to North Jersey in 1999, serving a South Hackensack auto-parts distributor that supplied 400 dealerships, and setting up an office in the same town, said Chris Miles, the company's CEO.
Since then, business has steadily increased, prompting the company to open the new office, he said.
