iStreamPlanet Manages Webcast of Adobe Creative Suite 4 Launch Event
LAS VEGAS, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- iStreamPlanet, an innovator of digital media strategy, managed webcasting services, and Rich Internet Applications, today announced its successful management of a multi-zone live webcast of the launch of Adobe(R) Creative Suite(R) 4.
"In preparation for the Creative Suite 4 launch event, our goal was to provide our customers around the world with the ability to view our launch event using Adobe technology to produce the highest quality experience," said Eileen Chin, senior campaign marketing manager at Adobe. "iStreamPlanet's customer-centric approach took the complexities out of the process for us. They helped deliver a first-rate, customized Flash-based web experience, along with a well executed and highly attended live event."
For the Adobe Creative Suite 4 launch event, iStreamPlanet incorporated additional interactive functionality into the Adobe Flash technology web experience to support both live and on-demand multimedia streaming. iStreamPlanet also built and hosted the registration page for the Adobe event, enabling attendees to register to view the simulated live webcast in one of six time zones across North America, Europe, India, Singapore/Hong Kong, and Australia. iStreamPlanet's team of video streaming experts provided off-site support to manage simulated live streaming of the broadcast over the Internet across the four continents, not an easy feat.
"We were honored when Adobe asked us to develop and manage the webcast events for the launch of Creative Suite 4," said Mio Babic, founder and CEO of iStreamPlanet. "It's highly rewarding to have them select us as their collaborator for such an important, and buzz-generating, event. It also offered us the opportunity to demonstrate our ability to provide live video streaming based on Adobe Flash. We look forward to continuing to push the envelope and deliver complex live events for other companies as well as for -- and in tandem with -- Adobe itself."
The webcast of the Adobe Creative Suite 4 launch was especially challenging since it involved working across multiple continents and simulated live webcasting in several time zones. Broadcasting live events over the web, whether on-site or off-site, is not the same as putting on-demand media files on the web. Live events are much more complex and require knowledge across the entire digital media landscape: of multiple transport and video platforms; of Content Delivery Networks; of multiple encoding systems; and of the managed customer and end-user experience.
iStreamPlanet's unique way of combining the capabilities of Rich Internet Applications and allowing viewers to choose what and how they want to watch their content gives viewers an immersive experience that rivals any TV experience.
"While streaming has definitely become mainstream, we feel it is our responsibility to continue to raise the bar," added Mr. Babic. "The slightest hiccup at the wrong time can impact the next step in acceptance for a mainstream brand, as well as the adoption and continuing proliferation of the streaming media industry. For that reason, we provide a full-scale end-to-end managed service with redundant methods for transport, encoding and delivery."
