WebVisible Launches Program to Bolster Local Business’ Online Presence, Strengthen Chamber of Commerce Membership

WebVisible, Inc., a worldwide leader in local online advertising, today announced the availability of a new program designed to strengthen Chamber of Commerce membership and extend the benefits of search engine marketing to more local businesses. "Let Us Pay Their Dues" will be formally unveiled on Sept. 25, 2008 at the Southern California Association of Chamber Executives meeting in Orange, Calif. Under the program, WebVisible will pay yearly chamber membership dues for businesses that invest in its ChamberClicks(TM) Internet marketing services.

Introduced in the summer of 2007 and available through participating chambers of commerce nationwide, ChamberClicks enables local businesses to leverage the power of the Internet to find new customers. Managed by WebVisible, the online marketing campaigns help local businesses cost-effectively compete with larger companies by enabling them to be found on search engines (Google, Yahoo!, MSN,, and more). With a focus on a proven return-on-investment for local business advertisers, ChamberClicks also offers continuing Internet marketing education to aid chamber members in their efforts.

Members of chambers that are enrolled in the ChamberClicks program will have their dues paid when they invest in a one-year online advertising campaign. "This is a win-win-win program for chambers, their members and us," said Dave Brown, ChamberClicks program director at WebVisible. "Chambers are a vital part of most local business communities, offering valuable services and representation with state and local governments. A recent study showed that when consumers know a small business is a member of the chamber, they are 63 percent more likely to patronize that business*. 'Let Us Pay Their Dues' helps local businesses realize the advantages of chamber membership, while simultaneously gaining a strong online presence and competitive edge. And it helps chambers strengthen their member base."

In order to build and retain chamber membership, fresh ideas are welcome. "The chamber is the best tool for business owners to meet with local leaders and other businesses they may not otherwise be exposed to," said Nancy Tilove, vice president of membership for the Irvine Chamber of Commerce. "Through the chamber, members gain access to programs such as ChamberClicks to help them better promote their businesses. This value-add service in turn helps our efforts to attract and retain members." Russ Lahodny, vice president of communications, added, "It's been a great partnership for the Irvine Chamber and our members. Being able to provide them with a service that helps generate business is crucial, and is the main reason they join. I would encourage every chamber to partner with WebVisible to offer their members the advantages of fully managed Internet marketing campaigns through ChamberClicks."

Details and terms of the "Let Us Pay their Dues" program can be found on the new website at Also on the site is a calendar of Webinar and "Lunch and Learn" events designed to educate members on how to use the Internet to find new customers, as well as a ChamberClicks video overview and list of participating chambers.
