Foreigner’s Frontman Sold on ‘Cold As Ice’ Singer, Two Others

Congratulations to Tiffany Jo Allen, Megan Lopez and Christine Taddeo.

They each submitted a videotape of themselves singing their favorite Foreigner song as part of our contest for a pair of tickets to Sunday’s Foreigner concert.

Kelly Hansen, Foreigner’s lead singer, watched the videos on aznightbuzz.com/foreigner and declared them all winners.

“Kudos to those for taking a chance and putting themselves out there,” he said in an e-mail. “They were all good and I think they all should get tickets.”

He said Allen “gets a few extra points” for her version of “Cold As Ice,” and so he’ll also record a greeting on her voice mail.

Lopez and Allen also met Hansen last week when he came here to promote Sunday’s concert, a benefit for La Paloma Family Services.

The show starts at 7 p.m. at the Tucson Music Hall, with special local guests, The Chili’s and the Tender Strings Chamber Ensemble from Vail.

Tickets are $35-$125 through www.ticketmaster.com.
