Symplified Unifies Access Management Across Enterprise and SaaS Applications
Symplified, the On Demand Identity company, today announced Symplified KeyChain(TM), a new identity service that provides access management, federated Single Sign-On (SSO), and compliance reporting for both enterprise and Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. Powered by the Symplified SinglePoint Ecosystem(TM), KeyChain provides centralized access control, authentication, and auditing through integration with network- and cloud-based user repositories.
KeyChain currently supports enterprise applications such as SAP, as well as SaaS applications from Salesforce, Google Apps, Concur, and Xactly. Additional applications will continuously be added to the SinglePoint Ecosystem. KeyChain is available using the on-premise Symplified Identity Router(TM) or as a completed hosted service delivered via the Symplified Identity Cloud(TM).
"As enterprises increase the number of SaaS applications they deploy, they face greater complexities managing the users who can access them," said Jeffrey M. Kaplan, Managing Director of consulting firm THINKstrategies and founder of the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Showplace. "Symplified has developed a timely solution that enables organizations to manage user access to multiple SaaS applications and audit usage for compliance by integrating with on-premise identity infrastructures like Active Directory."
KeyChain Unlocks Multiple Applications
To reduce complexity, cost, and management overhead, KeyChain eliminates the need for two separate access management solutions - one for cloud computing and one for enterprise networks. KeyChain provides complete identity and security integration for all applications including:
-- Access Management using on-premise Active Directory (AD), LDAP repositories, and SQL databases, as well as cloud-based data stores via Symplified Cloud Connectors(TM)
-- Access control using roles, AD Groups, and dynamic rules linked to existing enterprise user stores
-- Secure and federated SSO, including multi-domain SSO, using both SAML and HTTP forms to increase user convenience and reduce password fatigue
-- Virtualization of existing user repositories that maps user attributes to eliminate complex integration and the need for new identity silos
-- Streamlined and centralized compliance reporting with top down views of all downstream users and applications
"As organizations deploy SaaS applications from Salesforce, Google and others alongside traditional enterprise software like SAP, they must manage access and security for two very different animals," said Eric Olden, founder and CEO of Symplified. "Until now, the only alternative was expensive and complex enterprise Web access management software that could only secure applications within the firewall. With KeyChain, Symplified has extended the enterprise model to bring robust access management, Single Sign-On, and compliance reporting to hosted applications delivered over the cloud."
