Posted on: Tuesday, 16 September 2003, 06:00 CDT

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 2003--

New Solution Leverages Java(TM) Enterprise Server to Help

Enterprises Reduce Risk and Speed Time to Deployment of Data

Federation Solutions

Snapbridge Software, a provider of comprehensive data federation solutions, today announced that it has joined the Sun Microsystems iForce program. Snapbridge FDX Server -- one of the industry's first schema-less, XML-based, open-standards data federation solution will support Java Enterprise Server. The new iForce solution will be delivered through Sun's iForce channel partners and will provide enterprise-strength data integration functionality to joint customers-allowing enterprises to accomplish powerful data federation far faster and at significantly less cost than traditional custom-coded solutions.

"Data federation remains a top IT challenge for companies across a broad range of industries in their efforts to gain a more real time, unified view of crucial data," said Angus MacDonald, CEO of Snapbridge Software. "Until now, there has not been a comprehensive packaged solution for federating data from the many disparate sources that exist across all enterprises. This partnership between Snapbridge, Sun and Sun's iForce channel partners will offer enterprise customers an effective alternative to the time-intensive, expensive and brittle custom coding that is the norm for data federation today."

Snapbridge's pioneering data federation software uniquely addresses the complex data integration issues that enterprises currently address with large-scale custom coding projects that take many months to implement. "Our customers demand 3 9's up-time reliability and terabyte scalability, which is why we have committed to the Java Enterprise Server," said Benjamin Chen, Chief Technology Officer and founder of Snapbridge Software.

"The Snapbridge FDX Server combined with the Java Enterprise Server provides a new approach that can deliver rapid deployment, fast ROI and great adaptability to change. We are pleased to make Snapbridge FDX available on the Sun platform through the growing iForce family of solutions," said Carla Dimond, Market Development, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
