InfoSpace’s Dogpile.Com Launches New Adoptable Pet Widget With Petfinder.Com, the flagship search site of InfoSpace, Inc. (NASDAQ: INSP) -- a leading developer of metasearch products, announced today that it has leveraged its relationship with to launch a downloadable social networking widget designed to connect animal lovers with pets in need of homes. Consumers who download the Dogpile adoptable pet widget application will have easy access to information on pets available for adoption through right from their Facebook or MySpace page. The application dynamically imports Petfinder adoptable pet of the day with "adopt me" information, and allows users to customize their widget by desired animal type, breed and location. Once the widget is downloaded from or, users can share information between friends on the social sites.

InfoSpace also has added content to the Dogpile toolbar. Users who download the Dogpile toolbar will be able to access the Petfinder site and its database of adoptable pets right from their browser.

In addition, Dogpile will utilize its Intellifind(R) technology to integrate relevant Petfinder content into its search results on the site. Dogpile's Intellifind technology utilizes sophisticated query intelligence to asses the likely intent behind every entered query, enabling Dogpile to return more relevant search results from a wider array of content sources. When Dogpile users enter various pet-related search terms, relevant Petfinder content will be displayed along with content from the leading search engines.
